Symptoms and what they usually mean
- Water sheeting over the gutter front in heavy rain — capacity or fall problem
- Water spilling from one spot only — a blocked outlet or a local dip
- Downpipe gurgling and backing up — blockage below ground or a crushed pipe
- Damp patch on an internal wall below the gutter line — water tracking behind the gutter
