Common gutter faults
- Rust perforation, usually starting where silt sits along the back of the gutter
- Leaking joins and corner mitres where the sealant has perished
- Sagging runs from failed brackets or brackets spaced too far apart
- Incorrect fall, so water sits in the gutter instead of reaching the outlet
- Blocked or undersized downpipes causing overflow in heavy rain
- Water tracking behind the gutter into the fascia and eaves
- Damage from ladders, tree limbs and previous gutter guard installations
